In an effort to optimize the user experience and enhance security, Toggles for Outlook now supports Office 365 OAuth activation. This feature allows users to authenticate their accounts more quickly and securely, providing a seamless experience when using the add-in.
When users activate Toggles for Outlook, they will now have the option to authenticate their accounts using Office 365 OAuth. This process is more secure and efficient than traditional authentication methods, providing a seamless experience for users.
Users will still have the option to authenticate by email activation, which has been the standard method for Toggles for Outlook. However, the addition of Office 365 OAuth activation provides an alternative method that is quicker and more secure.
Follow these steps to activate the add-in using Office 365 OAuth:
To activate the add-in using Office 365 OAuth, users will need to open the Toggles for Outlook add-in in their email client. This can be done by clicking on the Toggles for Outlook icon in the Apps pane of Outlook.
This will open an authentication dialog where users can log in to their Office 365 account to activate the add-in. In most cases, users will already be logged in to their Office 365 account, so the activation process will be seamless and quick.
If users are logged into a different account or need to log in to their Office 365 account, they can do so by entering their credentials in the authentication dialog. It is important to note that users should select the account associated with their current mailbox that they want to use with the add-in.
Note: If the user or an admin for the organization has not yet granted the necessary permissions for the add-in to access their mailbox, they will be prompted to do so during the activation process.
Note: For shared mailboxes, the activation process will continue to require email activation. Users can activate the add-in for shared mailboxes by following the standard email activation process.
Note: If a Toggles account does not exist for the user's email address, a new account will be created automatically during the activation process.
Once the add-in has been activated using Office 365 OAuth, users can begin using Toggles for Outlook to streamline their email workflow, automate repetitive tasks, and improve productivity.
